Valencia Life 3l.5.5
SECOND DAY
Today is the second day of the visit of the special fact-finding mission of the European Parliament as today the will fly to Alicante where they will meet the national and Valencian Ombudsmen as well as representatives from the building sector, and the President of the Diputacion of Alicante Jose Joaquin Ripoll. After lunching with a select group of people including Charles Svoboda, the President of the AUN Collective that first alerted the EU to the abuses committed in the Valencian Community under the land laws known as LRAU, the delegation will then visit Tibi and study its proposed urbanization project before driving to Calpe for a short visit and then to Benissa, where they will stay the night. It has also been revealed that many of the media in the Valencian Community have been discouraged from giving the visit of the EU delegation any coverage at all, despite the fact that some 30,000 complaints have been registered with the EU over the application of the LRAU.
