From Valencia Life 30.5.5.
HERE TODAY
The special fact-finding mission of the European Parliament will begin their visit to Spain and the Valencian Community today, with a meeting with several Ambassadors and Ministers in Madrid. Amongst the questions expected to be asked is whether there has been any reply to a formal 'letter of infringement' sent by the EU to the Spanish Government last March and whose answer was due by last Wednesday. The delegation tomorrow will visit Alicante Province, and hold a series of meetings in Alicante City and Benissa, before journeying to Valencia for meetings with the various members of the Valencian Government. The main concern of the mission is to fully examine the abuses carried out in enforcement of the Valencian Land laws, better known as LRAU, and how the rights of many property owners have been severely infringed.
