PHOTO COMPETITION: "URBANISMO" AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Sponsor: ABUSOS URBANISTICOS NO – AUN
(Asociación Valenciana en Defensa de los Derechos Humanos Medioambientales y en contra de los Abusos Urbanísticos)
Rules:
1. Subject matter: Urbanistic "development", environmental abuses and destruction of the landscape, and so-called urban green zones.
Themes: "A Valencian Community not seen at fairs promoting tourism"; "The Valencian Community, with the largest amount of urban green zone space in Spain (Rafael Blasco)".
2. Participants: open to all persons with an interest in these subjects and themes.
3. The photos cannot have been published before, i.e. not presented in any other competition.
The photos can be in colour or black and white and must be mounted on lightweight cardboard, measuring at least 30x40 cm and no larger than 40 x 50 cm.
In order to be displayed in exhibitions, the photo(s) must be also be submitted in digital form on a disc.
The material submitted can be a single photo or a series of two or three (diptych or triptych).
Each photograph must be submitted in duplicate.
Each participant may submit up to five different photos.
Any photograph which does not meet the aforementioned conditions will be excluded from the contest.

5. Identification: The title of the work and one of the two themes described above must appear on the back of each photo. The title of the work and the theme chosen by the photographer must be indicated on the outside of a sealed envelope. Please include inside the envelope the personal data of the contestant (name, postal and electronic address, telephone number and a photocopy of the identity card or passport, as well as his or her nationality in the case of a passport), as well as a list of the photos submitted.
6. The material must be in the hands of Salvador Blanco Revert no later than May 25, 2005.
7. The winner will receive a prize of 600 €.
8. AUN has designated the following professionals who will judge the photographs:
Pep Benlloch – Professor of Photography
Alvaro de los Angeles – Arts Critic
Joseph Frasquet – Technician of the photographic laboratory of the UPV.
The Jury will only have access to the photos (not the names or other details of the contestants).
9. The prize can be withheld if the Jury decides that none of the works satisfies the rules of this contest.
The Jury has the authority to resolve any question not set out in the rules and its decision is final.
10. The winner will be notified by AUN who will announce the results in the print and electronic media on the same day as the inauguration of the exposition.
11. The photos submitted will subject to a preliminary selection by the Jury who will determine which of the photos selected will compete for the prize. The photos not selected may be picked up from collection point in Valencia mentioned in paragraph 4.
12. AUN plans to mount two series of exhibitions of the selected photographs - one in Valencia which is the first venue in a series of exhibitions in Valencia, Castellón and Alicante. These exhibitions will be organized by interested cultural organizations. The second exhibition will be mounted in Brussels, the headquarters of the European Parliament and the European Commission.
The place of the inaugural exhibition will be announced in the press and through posters, as well as by email and regular mail to all the participants and members of AUN.
13. – The winning photograph will become the property of the organizer of the competition, Abusos Urbanisticos No, which reserves the right to use it in its public awareness campaigns.
14. – The photographs selected for the competition will be available on a CD.
15. – The photographs not selected may be collected from the address mentioned above five days after the announcement of the winner and the winning photograph.
16. – The winner must attend the prize giving ceremony in person or authorize someone to act on his or her behalf at the prize giving ceremony.
17. – Participation in this contest signifies that the terms and conditions specified in this document have been accepted.

2. Teilnehmer: alle Personen, die sich für dieses Thema interessieren.
3. Fotografien: Sie dürfen noch nicht veröffentlicht worden sein, dass heisst, sie dürfen an keinem anderen Wettbewerb teilgenommen haben.
Die Fotografien können entweder schwarz-weiss oder farbig sein, auf Kartonpapier montiert, mit einer Mindestgrösse von 30x40 cm und einer maximalen Grösse von 40x50 cm.
Zum Zweck einer eventuellen späteren Veröffentlichung muss eine Diskette mit den Fotos beigefügt werden.
Es können einzeln Fotografien sein oder das Thema kann aus zwei oder drei Fotografien zusammengesetzt werden.
Die Fotos müssen in doppelter Ausführung eingereicht werden.
Jeder Teilnehmer kann bis zu fünf verschiedene Arbeiten abgeben.
Die Fotografien, die diese Bedingungen nicht erfüllen, werden vom Wettbewerb ausgeschlossen.

5. Identifizierung: Auf der Rückseite jeder eingereichten Arbeit muss der Titel und das Motto des Autors stehen. Es muss ein geschlossener Umschlag beigefügt werden, auf dem aussen der Titel des Fotos steht und das Motto und im Innern des Umschlages müssen die persönlichen Daten des Autors angegeben werden (Namen, Postanschrift, e-mail Adresse, Telefon und Fotokopie des Ausweises oder Passes), sowie eine Liste mit den beim Wettbewerb vorgelegten Arbeiten.

Der Ort der Ausstellung wird durch die Presse und Plakate bekannt gegeben werden, sowie durch eine briefliche Mitteilung an die Wettbewerber.
13. Die prämierte Fotografie geht in das Eigentum von AUN über, die sich das Recht vorbehalten, diese für ihre Zwecke zu benutzen.

2 – Participantes : abierto a todas las personas interesadas en el tema.
3 – Obras : han de ser inéditas , que no se hayan presentado en otro concurso o certamen.
Las fotografías podrán ser en color o en blanco y negro, montadas sobre cartón pluma, con dimensión mínima de 30x40 cm. Y máxima de 40x50 cm.
A efectos de su posible publicación los trabajos presentados habrán de ir acompañados de una copia en soporte digital.
Las fotografías presentadas podrán ser individuales o formar trabajos compuestos (dípticos o trípticos)
Las fotografías se presentarán por duplicado.
Cada autor podrá presentar hasta cinco trabajos distintos.
Las fotografías que no cumplan estos requisitos serán excluidas del concurso.

5 – Identificación : al dorso de cada trabajo se escribirá el titulo de la obra y el lema del autor, acompañando un sobre cerrado en cuyo exterior figurara el titulo de la obra y el lema, y en el interior los datos del autor (nombre, dirección postal y electrónica, teléfono y fotocopia de DNI o pasaporte), así como la relación de las obras presentadas a concurso.
6 – La fecha limite de presentación de trabajos será el 25 de Mayo de 2.005.
7 – Se establece un único premio de 600 € .
8 – Abusos Urbanisticos No designa el siguiente jurado compuesto de profesionales en el mundo de la fotografía :
Pep Benlloch. - Profesor de Fotografía
Alvaro de los Angeles – Critico de Arte.
Josep Frasquet – Técnico de laboratorio fotográfico de la UPV.
El jurado para su labor solo dispondrá de las obras presentadas con sus títulos, no conociendo el nombre de los concursantes hasta que se haga público el nombre del ganador.
9 – El premio podrá ser declarado desierto, si a criterio del jurado ninguna de las obras cumple las premisas indispensables de acuerdo con la intención de este concurso.
El jurado esta facultado para resolver cualquier cuestión que no estuviera establecida explícitamente en estas bases, y su fallo será inapelable.
10 – El acto de entrega del premio se dará a conocer a los distintos medios de comunicación, y tendrá lugar el día de inauguración de la exposición.
11 – Las obras presentadas serán sometidas a una selección previa por parte del jurado que decidirá las obras que pasan a concurso, quedando las obras rechazadas a disposición de sus autores en el domicilio del concurso.
12 – Abusos Urbanísticos No se propone realizar una doble exposición de los trabajos seleccionados, una que se realizara en Valencia, como inicio de una exposición itinerante por Castellón y Alicante, así como por los distintos municipios de la Comunidad Valenciana que se interesen a instancias de entidades culturales de los mismos, la otra sería en Bruselas, por ser la sede del Parlamento Europeo y la Comisión Europea.
La sala de la exposición inaugural se comunicara en su día a través de la prensa y por medio de carteles informativos, así como por correo (electronico) a los concursantes.
13 – La obra premiada pasara a ser propiedad de la Asociación organizadora del concurso, reservándose el derecho de poder ser utilizada en sus campañas.
14 – Las obras que hayan sido seleccionadas se publicaran en un CD .
15 – Las obras que no hayan sido premiadas podrán ser retiradas del domicilio del concurso a partir de cinco días contados desde la fecha en que se haga público el acuerdo del jurado.
16 – La persona ganadora habrá de asistir personalmente o por delegación al acto de entrega del premio.

El jurado para su labor solo dispondrá de las obras presentadas con sus títulos, no conociendo el nombre de los concursantes hasta que se haga público el nombre del ganador.
9 – El premio podrá ser declarado desierto, si a criterio del jurado ninguna de las obras cumple las premisas indispensables de acuerdo con la intención de este concurso.
El jurado esta facultado para resolver cualquier cuestión que no estuviera establecida explícitamente en estas bases, y su fallo será inapelable.
10 – El acto de entrega del premio se dará a conocer a los distintos medios de comunicación, y tendrá lugar el día de inauguración de la exposición.
11 – Las obras presentadas serán sometidas a una selección previa por parte del jurado que decidirá las obras que pasan a concurso, quedando las obras rechazadas a disposición de sus autores en el domicilio del concurso.
12 – Abusos Urbanísticos No se propone realizar una doble exposición de los trabajos seleccionados, una que se realizara en Valencia, como inicio de una exposición itinerante por Castellón y Alicante, así como por los distintos municipios de la Comunidad Valenciana que se interesen a instancias de entidades culturales de los mismos, la otra sería en Bruselas, por ser la sede del Parlamento Europeo y la Comisión Europea.
La sala de la exposición inaugural se comunicara en su día a través de la prensa y por medio de carteles informativos, así como por correo (electronico) a los concursantes.
13 – La obra premiada pasara a ser propiedad de la Asociación organizadora del concurso, reservándose el derecho de poder ser utilizada en sus campañas.
14 – Las obras que hayan sido seleccionadas se publicaran en un CD .
15 – Las obras que no hayan sido premiadas podrán ser retiradas del domicilio del concurso a partir de cinco días contados desde la fecha en que se haga público el acuerdo del jurado.
16 – La persona ganadora habrá de asistir personalmente o por delegación al acto de entrega del premio.
17 – El hecho de tomar parte en este concurso lleva implícita la aceptación expresa de todas las condiciones que se especifican en estas bases
